I build my own superwide snowboard – and it´s awesome

After struggling to find a board on the market that fits what I want, I found that company www.build2ride.com where you can build your own board with your own specifications. So I could build myself a board that is much wider than a regular or even a wide board.

I wanted a board that could carve really well and low without toe- and heeldrag and be also awesome in the powder.
The dimensions are:

1,67 m length, 29 cm waist width, 33 cm tip/tail width and camber setup with a slight rocker in the front. Setback 2,5 cm.

Impression after first testride

Overall I´m extremly happy with that board. On the backside the heeldrag is mostly eliminated and I can get much lower. And for the other aspects like torsional rigidity, the camber and rocker and flex it feels just like a “commercial” board. At 1:37 you can see how strong the board is.  When watching it slowmotion the first time I was kinda shocked what I did to my new board. I guess that crash got kinda weird, cause I tried to hold on to the gopro stick and didn´t use my right arm to stop me from rotating

Also I´m personally very happy with the design. I don´t see how a board could be more beautiful than showing the actual woodcore. It´s kinda sexy.

Thanks

I wanna thank Build2Ride for offering that service and helping me build my board.

Also I wanna give a shoutout to Ryan Knapton for inspiring me to look beyind what the regular snowboard market has to offer. I also was consoidering buying one of his custom boards from Donek but as I´m not in the US this offer made more sense for me.
